Did you know that horses are one of the oldest
mammals in the world and that the first horse was tamed over 9,000 years ago? There
are also references to the physical, psychological, social, and emotional benefits of horseback riding date back to the 1600's. There are several locations for therapeutic riding for kids with disabilities including
ADD, Autism, Down Syndrome, Multiple Sclerosis, and Spina Bifida. For more information

With there
being so many wonderful benefits to riding horses, I encourage those of you who are considering taking up riding, or those
that have kids that want to ride, to give it a try.
